La Marina Gandiense and L’Urbanet

La marina links the city with Gandía beach. This bus is the only one that allows residents and visitors to the beach to go shopping in the city or visit the different places of interest in Gandia ✅. It has many stops divided throughout the city. The RENFE train station stop is the most frequented by both tourists and the inhabitants of Gandía. In front of the station is also the tourist information office. The Marina stops at the main shopping centres (Plaza Mayor and La Vital) as well as at the Carrefour supermarket.

More interesting rates for Tourists:

• Single: Valid for one journey. It is purchased on the bus and costs €1.55 per person on weekdays and €1.65 on weekends and public holidays.
• Bono 10 trips: This is purchased on the bus and costs €12.50. Please note that you will have to leave a deposit of €2, which will be refunded when you return the card.
• Bono 30 trips: This is purchased on the bus and the plastic card costs €4. Below are the prices according to age:

More attractive fares for Gandenians and students:

• Tarjeta Dorada: Discounts of between 50% and 100% depending on the line and whether the traveller is a resident of the Grao or the beach. You can get it at the town hall where you can get information about its characteristics and requirements.
  • Cost of plastic 4€.
  • Ticket on L2: €0.80 on weekdays and €0.85 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
  • Ticket on L3 and L5: €0.35 every day of the week.
• Student Card: This ticket is available to young people in the city. The card can be obtained at the Town Hall and gives a discount on the ticket price.
  • Cost of plastic 4€.
  • Ticket on L2: €0.80 tuition fee.
  • Ticket on L3 and L5: €0.55 for each class.
• For students and staff of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Gandía Campus) the bus offers a special service during the school months. Students travel free of charge (see special timetables) from the Campus to the RENFE train station (to travel by train from Gandía to Valencia) and vice versa.

Timetable la Marina 📅

La marina does not have a fixed timetable but by looking at the first departures you can get an idea of what time the marina will pass as it usually passes every 20-25 minutes. For tourists there are two timetables: July-August for the high season and September-June for the low season.

Even so, La Marina Gandiense has launched an app to improve the journey for its passengers and make it easier for them to know when they can catch the marina and save them time. In the app you can enter the number of your stop and find out how long it will take for the bus to arrive.

Urbanet prices 💵

This bus, L’Urbanet, travels around the centre and the main neighbourhoods of Gandia throughout the year. Due to population growth and the high number of visitors, it was decided to improve the transport service 🏗 in Gandia in 2017.

A single one-way journey on the bus costs 1.05 euros. If you use this bus often it is highly recommended that you buy a ten journey pass for 8.50 euros which saves you 2 euros for every ten journeys you make.

Buses from Gandia 🚍

Buses connect Gandía with the main cities in Spain and with other cities and towns in the Valencian Community ✅. Many of these buses depart from the rear of Gandía RENFE station. The main transport companies are Auto-Res, la Amistad, Alsa and Olibus. Buses to Madrid are very popular during the summer due to their low prices.
